What is THE BREAKROOM?
“a sense of togetherness even in a remote setting”
THE BREAKROOM is a desktop app designed for remote workers to sync their break times with other employees and compete in a variety of games!

The Problem:
A new way of working requires a new way to take breaks. Since the transition from in-office work, fully remote workers have experienced 67% decrease in team morale.
SOLUTION
Our solution was to design an online gaming platform that allowed coworkers to engage and build connections in a casual space. By addressing the need for togetherness in their remote work experience, we provided a solution that greatly enhanced their sense of community.

REFLECTION
Delegating roles early on, scheduling regular check-in times, and keeping
an organized figma file made this project an absolute joy to collaborate on.
Working with a team that also prioritized the needs of the end user (remote
workers) - meant decisions were made based on research and insights from
our interviews. With more time, we would have loved to incorporate our
latest round of feedback, and build out the profile page & tool-tips! ⭐️
